In 1853 Argentina adopted constitution .The country was established as a democratic republic with independent legislative , judicial, and executive branches .The executive branch is the strongest  because it consists on the president , vice president , and a cabinet .The president and vice president can only serve two terms in a row(a terms = 4 years) . The legislature consists on two house national congress : senates that serve a six-year term and chamber of duties serve a four-year term. Each Argentina's provinces has an elected government, its own constitution , and legislature . Since mid-1990's federal government passed reforms to give more responsibilities to local government .In 1945 justicialist party was founded and it represents labor interest and also it has been the largest and strongest political party .In 1891 Radical civic union was founded it represent urban middle-class voters and also it is one of Argentina's oldest parties .The supreme court of justice is Argentina's highest court. The supreme court may declare acts of the legislature unconstitutional .Also each province has it own supreme and lower court system.

covid-19 impact on Argentina's Government

The government acted early in response to covid-19  by imposing a national lockdown. That kept Argentina out of the ranks of worst affected countries .Despite the lockdown the number of cases and death jumped in the capital and provinces of Buenos Aires .The cost has been high , the official poverty rate has been 35% at the end of last year ,now probably exceeds 40%.
