 Portugal Demographic Data By Julio Montano Dec 2,2020  Birth Rate- 8.1 Death Rate- 10.8  Infant Mortality Rate- 2.6  Life Expectancy- 81.1  Literacy Rate- 96.1% GDP per Capita- $30,500 Quality of Life  Portugal has a pretty average QOL.Birth rate is low because the parents focus more on their careers and easy access to healthcare.The death rate is high due to many health problems like smoking,drinking,and obesity.Infant Mortality rate is very low.They have a high life expectancy and Literacy rate they have access to education and there education system is very centralized in terms of funding and organization.They also have a high GDP people have good jobs and kids have education.   Portugal favorite sport and most popular is Soccer.Portugal has many traditions some of them disappear and some of the are made new  Fado, Galo de Barcelos, the traditional azulejos, the calçada portuguesa, the Rancho are just a few of the elements that shape  Portuguese  identity and are as important as their  traditions ! Portugal the Covid-19 has affected Portugal by lowering the percentage of Portugal's population

 Portugal was the richest country in the world. in the 21st century it was raising incomes and reduced unemployment. Mostly everyone got their money from farming and trading and they were just also having a hard time with other country,s around them which made it more difficult. The corona is simply decreasing the economy and population in the country of Portugal there has been more and more people sick and it is decreasing by a very high number it has almost shrinked 7 %

The first cases diagnosed with COVID-19 disease in Portugal were reported on March 2, 2020, while the first death was recorded on March 16, 2020 As of June 3, 2020, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 per 10,000 inhabitants was 32.6 ( 9 ). Despite the progressive spread of the pandemic throughout the country, its spread continues to be characterized by a high number and keeps spreading more and more.
