philippines religion background : 

The philippines proudly boast to be the only christian nation in Asia . Although, the main religion is Roman Catholic which is divided into many religion . The 86% of the populatin  belongs to Roman catholic  , 6% to various nationalized christian cults , and other 2 percent belongs to well over 100 protestant denominations. In addition to the christian majority, there is a vigorous 4 percent Muslim minority, concentrated on the southern islands of Mindanao, Sulu, and Palawan. Scattered  in isolated mountainous regions, the remaining 2 percent follow non-Western, indigenous beliefs and practices .


COVID-19 EFFECTS ON RELIGION

The covid-19 pademic has impacted religion in varius ways , including the cancellation of the worship services of various faith and the closure of sunday schools , as well as the cancellation of pilgrimages , ceremonies and festivals . Many churches , synagogues ,mosques, and temples have offered worship through livestream amidst the pandemic.
