Day One Assignment - Create your first blog post

How to Join our class Blog

1. Open your school gmail account
2. You're looking for an email from "The Thompson" the subject will say "You have been invited to contribute to Thompson 5th Period Geo"
3. If this email is not in your inbox check your spam
• on the left menu select "more"
• choose spam
• if the email is there open it and select "report not spam"
• now go back to your inbox where the email will be
4. Open the email and select "accept invitation" this will open a new page to the blog
5. Again, select "accept invitation"
6. You should see a page that looks like this and you should move on to creating your first post.

How to Create your first post

1. On the left side choose "+ New Post"
2. Title it [your country's name] introduction. ex: Canada Introduction
3. go to the website: https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/
4. Choose your country from the list
5. Copy the image of the map.
6. Paste it to your blog.
7. Beneath the image of the flag write a citation from the website you got it from
8. On the right side under labels, it says "separate labels by commas". In this box, write the name of your country (double check the spelling).
9. Select Publish.
10. All done
